Once again our annual Christ-
mas event was a delightful
success thanks to our lovely
attendees. It is Duo’s most popular and anticipated event of the year and it was held at the elegant Hilton LA hotel this year.
Participants came from near and far ranging from San Die-
go to Iowa City for an opport-
unity to meet and mingle with fellow Korean American pro
fessionals. There were 64 participants and everyone had an opportunity to meet each
other through our speed dating
event.
Delectable food was served,
refreshing drinks were passed,
and our eagerly anticipated speed dating event was under
way. Everyone was given 3 to
4 minutes each to ask their carefully crafted questions. Enthusiasm and excitement
were in the air as hours seemed to pass by in a blink.
After the speed dating event, participants were asked to write down the names of whoever they wanted to get to know better. As a result, 5 couples were made on the spot! Ladies were crowned with a tiara and men were given a candy rose to cele-
brate the special moment.
Despite the fact that many of our participants came by their parent’s recommenda-
tion, most people said they had an enjoyable time and were glad they attended.
Many people also thanked us for our efforts in creating such a fun and exciting holiday event.
